You Must Watch This: Lydia Hearst’s Odd “American Psycho” Threesome
Those of you who’ve seen “American Psycho” will remember the prostitute from the famous Patrick-Bateman-going-bats**it-crazy-with-a-chainsaw scene. Poor girl ended up bloodied and dead at the hands of her psychotic john and his amazing chainsaw-throwing precision. And now Lydia Hearst, publishing heiress and wannabe supermodel, is helping us relive those beautiful moments all over again in Miles Fisher’s new cover of the Talking Heads classic “This Must Be the Place.”
In this truly creepy “American Psycho” homage, Fisher plays Patrick Bateman surprisingly well; Hearst looks confused, pouty and quite a lot like the not-so-cute hooker she’s meant to be playing. Oh, and there’s a decent amount of axe-wielding action for The Frisky contingent that gets off on blood. Check out the video after the jump and tell us: cool or creepy?
Um, thoughts anyone? [via Gawker]

Umm…creepy. “This Must Be The Place” is one of my all-time favorite feel-good-yet-wistful songs. This video so doesn’t match.

I thought it was pretty funny, but then again, I watched most of it without any sound.

Really!? Man, I think it’s awesome. Totally tongue in cheek but perfectly well executed. Doesn’t hurt that it’s a great song, but an American Psycho spoof is long overdue. Plus that Miles does a spot on Christian Bale no?

Lydia Hearst is a pretty good actress. Who would have thought? I actually think she did a really good job in this.
You know, the “must be messed up cause she’s too pretty to be a hooker” role. Just like from the movie. Good job Lydia.
Of course I love the song and the video’s cool in a creepy way.
Good job all around. I approve.

AWESOME. I love, love, love that movie, and I had no idea who this Miles Fisher is prior to this, but this makes me want to get his CD. If you squint your eyes, it’s Patrick Bateman! Perfect. I like that the song does not match the video at all. It somehow makes it funnier. You would not want to jam to the song that truly fit with an homage to a yuppie serial killer, lol.
