Love Vandal: Italians Do It Better
Reader Sarah took this photo in Florence. Since we don’t speak Italian, she translated it for us: “Good wishes to you who is the best thing that has ever happened to me…! I love you!”
Have you seen graffiti that’s kind of sweet (even if it is against the law)? Send your pic to tips@thefrisky.com.

I was in Florence this summer and Italian men are SO romantic! There is no game with them. and it’s so refreshing! I kept a list of all the things Italian men cooed at me every day simply walking the streets…too sweet to ever forget! I watched an Italian man stop what he was doing and run down & across the street just to tell my friend she was beautiful and to meet her…and that was typical of them!

I don’t know what part of the country your from, but that happens all the time in St.Louis. Maybe their accent is what makes them seem more genuine than others. Remember they always see us Americans coming, and they run many games to swindle us. Do they do it better? I don’t think so, but maybe it sounds better.

its because my point of view is comparing italian men to my experience so far at your typical american college campus, where for the most part courtship and dating is nonexistent, and twentysomething men don’t have to do much work when it comes to relationships. im old-fashioned, and it was refreshing in Italy, because as a 5’10” attractive young woman, for once men weren’t intimidated by me and had no problem making advances or compliments. its their culture, they love love and love women.
how many times will a college-aged american guy (soberly) go up to a goodlooking girl and say “hello beautiful”...its rare. rarer than hearing an italian whisper, ciao bella
