Lindsay Lohan Wants Marilyn Monroe’s Role In “Some Like It Hot” Remake

It’s quite obvious Lindsay Lohan thinks of herself as the second coming of Marilyn Monroe. Lindz has donned Marilyn-inspired looks for not one, but two expensive photo shoots. She even has a quote from “Some Like It Hot” tattooed on her wrist. Now she wants to take her obsession to the next level by playing Sugar Kane Kowalczyk in “Some Like It Hot,” a role Marilyn made famous. Director Brett Ratner, however, isn’t having any of that.
Although he’s rejected the awful idea, Lindsay remains undaunted and has pinned all her career hopes on winning this role. According to an insider close to Lindsay, she sees many parallels between herself and Marilyn—“misunderstood, talented and in desperate need of an incredible film vehicle that will truly showcase her talents.”
This probably isn’t the role to drag her career’s carcass out of the Hollywood sewer. The truly entertaining stars of “Some Like It Hot” were Tony Curtis and Jack Lemmon. Marilyn was just a bombshell with a sexy voice, a role that probably could have been played by anyone with the right assets. LiLo would do well not to follow the same career path as someone who met an early end. But then again, is there any venture that could give her respect? [SF Gate]

LiLo’s acting skills need some serious work if she’s going to attempt anything that epic. I made it through 5 minutes of “Labor Pains” before I wanted to claw my eyes out. She’s a great punchline, but not box office gold.

My friend Kristyn made it through the whole movie. Granted, it was on in the background, but she saw the whole thing. She said it was a complete abortion.

1. Remake NOT NECESSARY!!! (yelling most definitely required there!)
2. Hohan, get off the Marilyn kick. You’re nowhere near the star she was and the only thing you’re managing to do is to make yourself look even stupider. Which is pretty hard to do, actually.
