In the latest issue of Interview, Lindsay Lohan sits down for a tête-à-tête with 70’s supermodel Lauren Hutton. So says Hutton, “She’s got the bones of a flamingo and the spirit of a gladiator.” From dodging paparazzi to high-speed car chases, Lohan declares being a celebrity ain’t easy: “I just feel as though it’s become a situation where people have manifested this caricature of who I am, and they act as if there’s no real person inside of it.” On the perils of fame, Heath Ledger advised her that it’s all a game: “It’s build you up to knock you down, and that’s all it is. And you just have to see if you can stand through it.” As for her relationship with SamRo, Lindsay doesn’t say much, other than, as a Cancer, “in relationships I’m screwed.” [Interview]

i have loved lindsay since the parent trap and get a clue as a kid. she’s grown up in and out of the spotlight and honestly she’s done a great job in my opinion. dabbling in drugs and parties is one thing, but being able to pull yourself out of bad relationships and situations is honorable and undeniable. to be able to move past a bad situation at home, or an embarassing parent’s comments- how much better could any of us have done? also, she wasn’t “blaming” her problems with relationships on her sign as a cancer- she just didn’t want to address the question at hand. and she shouldn’t have to. her personal life should be just that, personal- private. yes, i’ll admit i love to hear about her and read about her- but it’s just wrong what the paparazzi do to her. they’re trying to turn her into another britney. break her down to build her up again. heath was right. hopefully she is able to work past the obstacles and come out ahead.
her problems with relationships are the same as every other hollywood starlet, everyone trying to get a piece of you, being followed 24/7, reading about every time you did anything online in the papers, watching yourself on tv- it’s gotta bring a lot of added stress. relationships take time and effort. when you’re working and promoting all of the time, how are you conceivably have any time left to work on a relationship? i just wish her the best of luck and if samro or sam or whoever she is the right person for lindsay, then i hope they can make it work.
