I’ll take a good Russian River zin (we get a case of A. Rafanelli every yr) over a Napa cab any day of the week, thank you very much!

Almost all of the women I have dated knew less about wine than they did about beer. Not a knock on any of them, all great people; but don’t assume the guy doesn’t know his wine.
Too many people watched “Sideways” and became sommeliers after an hour of movie.

This is actually my dad’s advice. He started teaching me about wine at 15 years old in Italy. His goal was for me to be more knowledgeable than most men I’d date by the time I turned 21. It worked.

Riley - ah, a hot woman in heels who can debate the finer points of cascades vs. willamettes or double decoction vs. RIMS - could such a magical creature actually EXIST?
