Leather Skirts Maybe ... But Leather Shorts?

Prompted by the revival of leather skirts, we decided to dig around a bit more to see what else is out there in leather land, and here’s what we found: shorts. Not hot pants but loose-fitting shorts like this Robert Rodriguez pair, which could be a regular style, except they’re made out of leather. Puzzling. Not sure how you would rock these seeing as you can’t really wear them when it’s hot and when it’s cold you’d have to don tights underneath.

I someone should burn those shorts, they’re hideous! And they have the nerve to be $473?! If someone pays $473 for those, I will personally hunt them down and b**ch-slap their tacky a** for thinking it would even be mildly attractive to rock some leather shorts, it makes no sense!

Other than them being ugly they seem really counter-intuitive. You wear shorts because it’s hot. Leather is a very thick material that keeps you warm…

Oh, I don’t know. Like most specialty clothes, I think it would look okay if you coordinated your outfit very very carefully. I always liked Tifa’s costume in the CG-animated Final Fantasy movie, and she wears leather shorts in that.

In general, though, I think this is a dumb idea.
