Lauren Conrad Shape September 2009 Cover

Lauren Conrad is on Shape magazine’s September cover. This is the second time in as many years that Lauren has graced the front of that magazine, but since she sells magazines, they’ve found some new things to talk to her about, including the nickname she gave the layer of fat on her stomach.

On how her body changed when she started dating Kyle Howard:

“I call it the ‘boyfriend layer.’ We were having more romantic dinners out, and I was exercising less.”

On how getting a tattoo gave her the confidence to leave “The Hills”:

“Nine months ago, I reached my breaking point. I felt bad about myself because certain people were relentlessly attacking me and my reputation. My mom kept saying, ‘Let it go, Lauren. It doesn’t matter.’ My friend also sat me down and asked, ‘Why do you care what people say about you? How does it really affect you at the end of the day?’ I couldn’t come up with a good answer and realized I had to stop worrying about what other people think. The next day I got a tattoo on my lower back that says ‘sticks and stones,’ because they may break my bones, but words will never hurt me. Once I let go of that, I felt more confident about myself. And that made my decision to leave The Hills pretty easy.”

I thought she was suppose to be the classy one on the hills, but a tramp stamp??? Even Heidi doesn’t have one of those.

...and is it me, but she looks like a blonde Courtney Cox on that cover?

I can’t believe she got a tramp stamp. That gives you confidence? Wow. CLASSY.

Nice of you to judge others on where they get their tattoos.
Especially with a cliché title made up by men.

If the tattoo would have been on her wrist or somewhere else would you still be so sarcastic about it? Doubt it…
