Look Who’s Talking Now: Kate Gosselin’s New TV Show

Kate Gosselin

Kate Gosselin came onto the television scene with her husband Jon when “Jon and Kate Plus 8” began airing in 2008. Now, after a stint on “The View,” she’s ready to join a new panel talk show, aimed at working moms. “I’ve been given the gift of gab, so why not use it?” Gosselin told the audience at the Southern Women’s Show in Charlotte, NC, where she was answering questions and signing copies of her books. According to TVGuide.com, the panel will also include Food Network host Paula Deen and morning show vets Rene Syler (“The Early Show”) and Lee Woodruff (“Good Morning America”).

In our opinion, Kate isn’t the (only) reality star who should be given a talk show. A few of our suggestions after the jump.

  • Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt: Reality TV’s prom king and queen attempt to discuss the news of the day, end up rambling about themselves and Jesus.
  • Kim and Khloe Kardashian: The sisters help single women date the athlete of their dreams on their new show, tentatively titled “How to Bag A Baller.” And they’d know a thing or two about it: Kim dated New Orleans Saint Reggie Bush for two years, and Khloe is set to marry Lamar Odom of the Lakers.
  • Fabio Viviani and Stefan Richter: Top Chef 5’s Team Europe fills their hour-long show with thickly accented smack talk and wisecracks.
  • PC (”NYC Prep”): Bravo’s Chuck Bass wannabe compares notes with other reality show cast members who emulate fictional characters for a living.

Who do you think should have a show?

Ok where was I when Kate was a working Mom? I’m not saying she isn’t working hard at being a Mom (Before anyone jumps…then again who is watching her 8 kids while she’s filming? Please don’t say Jon) I’m just saying she doesn’t have a 9-5 job so how can she have that as her target audience? Also, if these Mom’s are working during the day when are they watching her daytime talk show? Just saying…This woman will do anything for a bit of limelight. It’s disgusting.

Oh boy – if you love gossiping about people that no one should care about (and are in need of a hobby) – then this ought to tantalize you – because the non-news wires have been buzzing about Whoopi Goldberg slams Kate Gosselin.  Someone ought to – she’s annoying, and comes off as less than what we’d call “intelligent.”  Apparently, there was some sort of custody brouhaha, where cops showed up when Jon Gosselin was visiting his kids.  Kate apparently also filmed some sort of pilot – the only pilot involving Kate is one that bails from his plane which crashes into her.  If you really care if Whoopi Goldberg slams Kate Gosselin, then you should get a personal loan and find something to do with your time.

Kate would not be able to be on any talk show format unless she is going to be the center of attention all the time. She and Paula Deen are nothing alike..at least as far as I can tell from watching the two of them on tv. Paula is a laid back southern gal. Kate has become a prima donna, a money hungry one at that. She must sense that the end of J&K+8 is going to happen sooner than later/. So,she is seeking any other way she can continue to make the big bucks before interest in her totally dies out.She would never be able to go back to being a nurse. Now that would be in the best interest of her kids, in the long run.But she was lucky enough to grab on to the brass ring when TLC came knocking at her door. She has gotten a taste of the good life, and will do anything she has to to maintain the lifestyle she has become accustomed to. I personally don’t think the filming has damaged the kids. All of the media trash about their father and the divorce is what is going to affect them down the road. And trust me, there will be a lot of resentment from Mady and Car, who are old enough to undertsnd what is going on. The sextuplets don’t really understand what is going on,other than they are not with mommy and daddy at the same time..which is nothing new since Jon has been a stay-at-home dad for the last couple of years. And that was a choice HE made. Playing with your kids for a li8ving is a pretty nice job, huh? It’s probably the longest time he has worked at ANY job!

I agree, while she is WORKING who is watching her kids.  I have always felt that Jon was a very supportive father, we always saw him playing with the kids, bathing them dressing them and doing as Kate was barking at him to do.  One episode struck such a nerve.  He was rollar blading with one of the girls and Kate stood in the driveway and yelled at him.  She is no saint either when it comes to parenting, she is so caught up in the media circuit and telling everyone how well behaved her kids are, and that Jon took some money, get over it.  Sell your big ol house and all the possessions and cancel all the trips that will be paid for by who knows who and stay home.  I would have loved to taken our kids to all the wonderful places and have it all paid for by TLC but we are a working family. You 2 are really only hurting those who you love, your kids.
