Jumpsuits As Punishment

black jumpsuit

Guess Gonzalez, TX, school district didn’t get the memo that jumpsuits are a fashion “do” these days. Kids from 5th grade through high school who come to school dressed inappropriately will be forced to put on a black, school-issued jumpsuit. Sure, it’s a little prison, but with the right accessories, I’d wear it. [CNN]

I wonder what the school considers appropriate. My friend was sent home from H.S. a couple of times because the security said her skirt was too short, but other girls who were lacking booty were allowed to wear skirts as short as they wanted.

Everyone knows these jumpsuits are similar to prison jumpsuits. I think it’s very dangerous to criminalize students.

On a lighter note, I considered purchasing a Dickies coverall a few years ago because I really wanted a jumpsuit.
