Jon Gosselin’s Girlfriend Hailey Glassman Cries Emotional Abuse

In a tear-filled, two-part interview airing on “The Insider” tonight and tomorrow night, Jon Gosselin‘s girlfriend, 22-year-old Hailey Glassman, breaks down while talking about how her life has changed since she began seeing Jon. The above clip aired on “Good Morning America” earlier, with Hailey crying that Jon is abusing her by taking out his frustrations on her:
“He’ll call me and take his anger out on me. He has ‘mantrums.’ I shouldn’t have to put up with being emotionally abused. I cry and say, ‘Why are you so mean to me?’ He takes it out on me.”
And yet, despite this and supposedly having had to give up friends to be with him, Hailey continues to see Jon? And she gives two-part interviews bashing him, while claiming to “want my name to be forgotten.” We don’t condone emotional abuse, but this seems like an attempt by Hailey to increase her star power. Either that or she thought the only way to deal with a breakup with her reality TV star boyfriend was on TV. Also, did she just coin the word “mantrum”? Stealing it! [GMA]

Abuse is terrible, but I find it difficult have any sympathy for her. Most abuse victims don;t go on TV to talk about the abuse, they are just trying to get away from it, not gain attention from it. I want her name to disappear as much has she claims she wants to, and she can take her boyfriend with her.

She knew who he was and what his situation was when she got involved but chose to get involved and chooses to remain and give tearful interviews - sounds like a codependent mutually self destructive reality show in the making. Next

If she is being abused emotionally, it would be difficult for her to leave. I’m sure you have girlfriends or guyfriends that date complete #&@$%, but still won’t leave.
Emotional abusers (Jon, if this is the case) often start off playing on the female’s/male’s sympathy (“Oh, I was treated so poorly by my ex. I’m the victim. I’m so sensitive”).
Then, slowly, but surely, show their #&@$% side. The victim is attached at this point and is (has been) trying to prove they are nothing like the ex. That they are better than the ex. It’s a sick, twisted way of control.
However, this doesn’t sit right with me. Hailey shouldn’t be on Entertainment Tonight. She obviously recognizes something is wrong and should seek counseling. WTF? You cry about not wanting to be recognized, then accept an ET interview? And shame on them both (ET and Hailey) for exploiting such a situation for tv ratings.

i do believe kate was hard on jon. but as i watched the show i realized that guy’s (men & boys) cannot do anything right without being taught the right way. some of us women are perfectionist! and when we run a house hold we expect it to be run right, like rinse your plates off, turn your clothes inside out ect. only to make our job running the house easier! i looked at kate and said man is she always complaining to jon, well i see myself in her, wanting everything to be perfect, and in order to make my job with my house easier, but even though she was hard on him, gives him no right to go outside there marriage! i’m the same way with my husband, as mothers we teach them to eat,crawl,walk,talk and put there own cloths on as well as pick up there mess. and as they get older it’s our job as a women to give the chore’s to know what lifes about, this does not stop as a mother when it comes to men, it continues into there marriage. but no matter how hard or easy we are on a man he will still think with his small head ( if you know what i mean!) only a man can control there actions! to me Jon gosselin is a dirt ball along with his lil home reckin slut!! karma is a bitch, and when it hits you or shall i say Jon and his lil slut, it’s gonna hit them so hard in the ass that they will fly forward on there stupid faces. god bless kate and her lovely 8 lil angels..
