Joaquin Phoenix Gets Down

Remember when we told you that Joaquin Phoenix was giving up acting to pursue a music career? We assumed he was going to do something within the rock genre, considering his success playing Johnny Cash—but by the looks of his first performance, he’s into hip-hop instead. “After all the years of reading scripts and reading lines, this is my chance to do something straight from the heart and put it out there,” he told People. “When I was young I liked punk rock music but then I discovered rap. I love the storytelling aspect of hip-hop.” I’m not sure the storytelling of hip-hop likes him, however…clip above!

I thought he was impressive in gladiator, and walk the line, thought after those performances he had possibly greater things ahead, but the video of his rap? (really, really bad karioki). and the interview with david letterman,,, some white guys figure theres a black muscician inside them,, and theres really only a clown

This must be a skit for SNL right? Come on Joaquin you just don’t have what it takes. Maybe try Country you did pretty good in Walk the Line. But hip hop, that’s like me a middle class Wife and Mom in suburbia going out to replace Little Kim, lol.

I’ve been stricken by you Joaquin for so many yrs now..You have a wonderful talent & a beautiful voice..But not for rap hun..I’d be singing more country music..You were awsome in walk the line!! Don’t stop acting for singing music that dont show your true talent!..(sing & act)..xoxo
