I Was Not Like Miley Cyrus When I Was 15…

...but I was also a TOTAL bore. Another round of “scandalous” Miley Cyrus photos popped up in the tabloids this weekend, and everyone is totes dismayed that lil’ Miley actually took pictures of herself revealing her stomach and taking a shower in a white t-shirt. Why isn’t anyone appalled that some perverted loser totally hacked into a 15 year old’s cell phone and posted her private photos on the internet? Whatever.

I really don’t understand what the fuss is about. When I was 15, I was reading V.C. Andrews in private and hording candy in my pillowcase, but like I said, I think I was weird and boring. Miley seems totally normal to me, not unlike many of the girls I knew in junior high/highschool. I just asked Catherine whether she had boyfriends back then and she was like, “Yeah, duh, I peaked in middle school, basically.” I’m not saying Catherine took photos of herself taking a shower with a t-shirt on, but I don’t think it’s outside the realm of possibility considering 15 year olds are on the cusp of becoming sexual beings and whatnot. I knew so many kids in middle school who were having sex. I remember when my best friend back then told me she let her boyfriend “finger bang” her. I was disgusted/fascinated, but now I realize I was totally missing out. And this other girl in my math class had a baby when she was in 7th grade and she used to spend the entirety of class telling me all about how she and the guy who sat behind me were “friends with benefits” and that they sometimes screwed after school. In comparison, Miley seems super tame to me. Can we leave the girl alone please?
