I Am Neurotic And So Are You!
I’ve thought for a very long time that I have some sort of O.C.D. because I can’t function during the day if my bed is unmade and can spot a dust bunny from 20 feet away. But then I heard about this site, i am neurotic, where people submit examples of their own wakcy neurosis, and realized I am totally pretty normal. But wow, do people have funny, interesting little things they have to do in order to remain sane during their every day lives, like:
Check out the site and then chime in with yours here. Like, I really enjoy flossing my teeth with strands of my hair while I watch TV. I just can’t help myself, it’s very satisfying. The feef says it is disgusting. [i am neurotic]

...me too, I think inanimate objects have feelings too. Growing up my desk was mismatched with the rest of my furniture in my room and my parents wanted me to get the matching set, but I refused because I felt sorry for the desk and didn’t want to hurt its feelings.
And I get creeped out by drying wet unpolished wood…like a cutting board that has just been washed. At my house, it’s airdryed.
God, have I just revealed too much? ...but wee, a site that I can thrive in, ha ha
...but at least I can poop with my shoes on…

I really, really can’t stand it when things that are supposed to be equidistant AREN’T. Like one time I had a panic attack because my bed spread was flawed and the seem down one side wasn’t the same distance from the edge as the seam on the other side. I was really upset.

I’m only neurotic about where things go. Everything has a place in my house, especially in the kitchen. If someone moves something out of place I have a hissy fit because I can’t find it when I need it.
I also obsessively pick at my cuticles. Very bad habit.

My sister’s gf has the exact same problem with wood, and my sister has that with unglazed pottery.
