Holy Mixed Signals, Robert Pattinson And Kristen Stewart

Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson are being even more confusing than usual this week. The December issue of Harper’s Bazaar hits newsstands soon, featuring the pair on the cover and in a hyper-romantic photo spread. The cover story is essentially all about their relationship—their first meeting (auditioning for “Twilight” and being thrown into a make-out scene together) and who is more romantic (Rob, apparently). Heck, for half of the story, the two even play the “Newlywed Game,” answering questions about who spends more time on their hair, who is more egotistical, and who is more superstitious. But wait, what’s this? In an Entertainment Weekly roundtable interview yesterday, Kristen got crazy worked-up and dropped a few f-bombs when asked about whether they are dating. Yeah, it’s really hard to understand why people want to know when you FAN THE FREAKING FLAMES.

Kristen on who is more romantic, herself or Robert:
“I have a no-bulls**t detector, so I’d have to say Rob is. I think romance is anything honest. As long as it’s honest, it’s so disarming.” [Harper’s Bazaar]
Robert on meeting Kristen:

Kristen on why she won’t answer the dating question:
“I probably would’ve answered it if people hadn’t made such a big deal about it. But I’m not going to give the fiending an answer. I know that people are really funny about ‘Well, you chose to be an actor, why don’t you just f—ing give your whole life away?! Can I have your firstborn child?’”[EW]
Robert on always getting dumped:

Kristen on how she’s handling the relationship question from now on:
“There’s no answer that’s not going to tip you one way or the other. Think about every hypothetical situation: ‘Okay, we are. We aren’t. I’m a lesbian.’ I’m just trying to keep something. If people started asking me if I was dating Taylor, I’d be like ‘F— off!’ I would answer the exact same way.” [EW]
Robert on who has the bigger ego:
“Her ego is more solid than mine, but mine has soared to such peaks, it’s ridiculous. Mine’s more erratic, but it can get to a point when it’s, like, godlike. Only in my eyes, of course. Sometimes just when I say hello the right way, I’m like, ‘Whoa, I’m so cool.’” [Harper’s Bazaar]

They both have a good publicist/manager. They are working the fans and media outlets constantly with this relationship; so much free, and good, publicity over such a small deal.

I think people should cut them some slack. What I love about both of them is that I think they honestly don’t care about the fame and if they knew their lives were going to be this crazy, I would bet that they probably wouldn’t have signed on to Twilight. Of course they’d never say that but this Twilight craze really is insane. People need to get a grip and realize Kristin is NOT Bella and Rob is NOT Edward.

I think they look painfully, tremendously beautiful together. I can’t think of a shoot they have done where they looked bad or not as good. But if they are a couple or not, I can’t decide.
Kristen is independent and totally different from your average movie star; she doesn’t care much about saying what people want to hear just to look good and get praise. That’s why many people dislike her, but I love that. It’s refreshing.
As for Robert, he’s tremendously cute, even when he acts so full of himself. I don’t think he has a huge ego, though.

So sick of the relationship speculation between these two. Twihards insist they are meant to be together, because they can’t separate fact from fiction.
Another magazine did a similar spread with John Hamm & the chick who plays his wife from Mad Men, and another with Brad & Angelina when Mr. & Mrs. Smith was released, portraying them as married in a spread. It’s called PR, people. They’re posing as their characters, not as themselves.
