Holiday How-To: Button Earrings

button earrings

You don’t have to be especially skilled to make presents for your pals. Case in point: button earrings. I found a pair in my mom’s jewelry box from the ‘70s and just had to fashion my own. Unless you decide to go all extravagant and buy expensive buttons, making these costs next to nothing.

SUPPLIES:

  • buttons
  • earring backs
  • glue, preferably super glue so your earrings don’t fall apart
  • needle and thread (if you are sewing a button-hole)
  •

    STEP 1:
Get out a pair of buttons/dodads and a set of earring backs. If you want to sew the button holes, do this now. Then, Put a dab of glue on the flat part of the earring back and quickly place your button on top.

    STEP 2:
You’re done. How easy was that?

@madeline ANY bead store will have them. Off the top of my head, I know there’s a great bead store around 6th Ave and 38th street.
