Just when you thought Amy Winehouse was the one who wanted a bottle, sounds like she’s also interested in passing on her genes with hubby Blake Fielder-Civil, even though they’re getting divorced. Her mother, Janis Winehouse, says of her daughter, “We all hope it’s not true they’re back in touch, but Amy is like a child. She says, ‘I love Blake, I love him.’ Amy says she wants a baby, but it’s just talk. Amy doesn’t have enough weight to get pregnant.” I’m afraid Amy’s weight is the least of her baby-making problems. Just because you foresee kids in your future doesn’t mean you’re so keen to pop them out ASAP. I think it’s cool that Daniel Radcliffe knows he’ll want kids. Not many guys are mature enough to admit that.
Yeah, its a big scary deal, isn’t it?
On one hand, you don’t want to automatically assume you want kids because you’ve been brainwashed, you want to realize the full consequences of what you’re giving up and what you’re getting in return. Make sure you are in a good emotional and financial place to reproduce. Keep your selfish genes under control while you give the subject careful reflection.
On the other hand, deciding to completely put off careful thinking about the subject, afraid of losing your liberty (and of course you will, to an extent), can lead to bad results as well. How many men do we know who are in their thirties and forties and “still” don’t know if they want kids? This leads to mismatches with women. Women are FORCED to make this careful reflection and decision earlier than men, so they often know in a relationship if they want kids or not, while the man is still “not sure”. Not sure enough to keep the women’s hopes in the direction she wants them to be, but when push comes to shove and he makes up his mind maybe they’ll be in for an unpleasant surprise.
Shakira would have some awesome kids, btw. I can’t wait for her to reproduce. Enrich the world.

Oh… My…
Please lets not encourage these people. Daniel’s statement was cute, the rest are for the most part just frightening.

Daniel Radcliffe’s statement read to me like “I can’t wait to give someone else a normal childhood!”

Thank GOD that Spencer sounds serious about not having kids… not sure the world could handle a Speidi baby!
