A photo of Lindsay Lohan from this past weekend at the Wet Republic pool celebrating her birthday got me thinking—I can’t stand the swimsuit and sky-high-heel look. I understand, of course, why someone would want to wear heels when they are showing that much skin, but, seriously now, it looks ree-diculous. Check out these stars rocking the heels and swimsuit look, and tell me, sexy or skanky?

All these looks do not work - Pam’s comes the closest because she has lots of bling in her outfit—and it’s Pam Anderson.

But what about casual shoes like cork platforms or wooden sculpture shoes?

I think celebs do it because it’s their way of showing off the shoes while under scrutiny. Therefore, if you’re focusing more on their shoes, you may not notice a bit of unsightly bulge…

I dunno, just guessing. I say do whatever.

I think there is a time and a place. Heels and bikinis at the beach? Um, no. But heels and bikinis at one of the many social pools in Vegas, hell yes. The whole reason any female goes there is to look hot in a bikini and heels complete the look.

I think Kim/Samantha pulls it off because it’s so her character and she does it in such a non-skanky way. The rest, skankfest for sure.

Heels and bikinis go great together when you have on a cover up and the proper sandals. if the shoes are chunky then it look cheap. WorldSwimwear for more advice on swimsuits.
