Even though the movie is in pre-production, “Black Swan” is getting press because
Natalie Portman and
Mila Kunis have sex, and according to a script review site, it isn’t for the faint of heart, it’s “We’re talking ecstasy-induced hungry aggressive angry sex.” Written and directed by Darren Aronofsky (who directed “The Wrestler”), the movie deals with the melodramatic lives of New York ballet dancers working on Swan Lake. [
Celebuzz] Why do ballet dancers in movies only do productions of Swan Lake? But more importantly, why are there so few lesbian scenes in movies? We look back at the women who paved the way for this upcoming cinematic achievement.

how can you make a list about ground-breaking on-screen lesbian performances without even mentioning “The L Word”??? I know it wasn’t a movie, but, the show itself broke some serious ground in the on-screen lesbian domain. The entire cast (save one or two members) are straight and portrayed hot lesbian sex at least twice in every episode!! while every other movie on your list can only credit itself with a kiss or two.

I am convinced that the hot lesbian sex scene is integral to the work and not in any way a move to promote a movie and build an audience that otherwise wouldn’t have gone to see a film about New York ballet dancers working on Swan Lake.
Actually, what I think is going on is that Mila Kunis And Natalie Portman have been secret lovers for years (as if Mila would actually be with Macaulay Culkin, seriously). In order to show the world their love in a way which would be considered acceptable, they wrote this silly Swan Lake script. Because, seriously, neither of them actually needs a lesbian sex scene to establish them as serious actors. Well, at least Natalie doesn’t.

@ jsw Mila Kuniz has done some comedic work and a horror movie. But she hasn’t really done anything career defining (post That 70’s Show).
Also, I thought this movie was being touted as a ‘female Fight Club’ because one of them is actually the second personality of the other?

Let’s not forget the film “Mercy” (2000) with Ellen Barkin and Wendy Crewson particularly steaming up the screen. There’s more here implied than actually shown, which isn’t necessarily bad!

Susan Sarandon and Catherine Deneuve in The Hunger came before all of these.
