Out of Paul, Quincy, and maybe Madge, how many of these people actually spent time with him. Hell, I might as well say I’m JT’s friend because I met him and chatted with him for like 10 minutes when I was 13.

actually, quincy jones watched michael grow up (he was ray charles’ contemporary), and they did most of the music for Thriller together. They were quite close back in the day. Madonna & Paul- sketchyville.

i guess justin timberlake did a performance w/ him on mtv on the vma’s once. so i guess they spent that amount of time together. also, justin was really really influenced musically by michael jackson—so i think that’s part of it. it’s up for debate, but many say justin is the heir to the “king of pop” throne.

@ aminata: MJ did a song with Paul McCartney called “the girl is mine”. MJ also owned 1/2 the Beatles song catalogue. As for Madonna, her and MJ were friends and they even went to the Oscars together in the early 90’s.
