When we saw Reid Peppard’s taxidermy accessories and the rather pretty boy wearing them, we knew it was time to look into the whole Dead Animals As A Fashion Statement moment a little more closely. Yes, the crystal-encrusted mouse headband above may be going a tad overboard (and it kind of makes us feel pukey), but we’ve managed to come across a few taxidermy-themed outfit additions that are fairly fly.

Not cool.
When Madonna wears them in a LV campaign then we’ll talk.

I vote creepy on most of them. The rat-testicle one is the most creepy to me, the beaver shirt is the dumbest, and the cat purse is the one my girls are most likely to want. Some of the others are attractive, though.

Aww I used to have a pet rat named Nicodemus. He was the sweetest thing. Those headbands just make me sad.

Creepy. Creepy, creepy, creepy. I love rats, but those headbands are just weird. It looks like something I see on the Metro, and I wouldn’t be able to stop staring in shock/horror.
But I will admit the rat coin purse made me laugh.

That hair comb is really pretty. And although I don’t like the lucite necklace with the bug in it, you act as if that is gross. Amber is known for having bugs in them and it only adds to their beauty. In fact a huge rarity—a scorpion in a piece of amber—I saw one at a jewelery store once for $25,000.
