Flashback: So 80’s Pantyhose

Fall is what I like to call pantyhose season.  Nothing makes me feel more ladylike than silk, er synthetic, stockings.  When it gets cold enough to wear them, they give me flawlessly smooth gams which in turn let’s me wear even shorter skirts. You know the fabulous woman in this totally 80’s No Nonsense commercial agrees, ho(se) are in style no matter the decade!

I’m so happy to read this! I thought I was the only woman left who actually likes wearing pantyhose. Tights are good, too, but there’s something so elegant about stockings. It’s one of the reasons fall is my favorite season.

My dog likes to eat pantyhose so I had to stop wearing them!

Lot’s of women love to wear them , but hate getting bashed by the barefooted gang. Legs look better with hose, hands down all of the time…summer heat would be the only excuse…if there was not an invention called A/C.  Take the extra time ladies , the men will love it, and the women who look plain , will hate the attention you get. Get back to wearing stockings and pantyhose!!!

Yes, I agree, legs do look better with hose, shoes feel better with hose and most legs need hose. A sundress and flip-flips go together—business dress and bare legs says your attending two different events. Wear hose-get a leg up!

When I stumbled upon this tonight, I just had to comment on it.  I think you ladies may find it interesting and amusing.  I was in high school in the 80’s.  Oops, I am somewhat dating myself.  Well, it actually started back in sixth grade, when I had a crush on a particular girl.  I was particularly drawn to her on the days she wore a dress and pantyhose.  I found that throughout high school (and beyond) that when girls and women wore pantyhose, it just gave them that added finishing touch.  I remember watching those pantyhose commercials of that day too.
Sadly, those days are gone.  Women do not wear pantyhose very often anymore.  For several years, I have occasionally heard women complain that they hate pantyhose, and find them uncomfortable.  I am glad to see there are some of you out there that still wear them.
Well, fast forward to today.  I am in need of some help, which is how I found web page.  Recently had slight problems with my legs being cold, particularly at night when I am trying to sleep.  A doctor recommended wearing light support pantyhose.  Being still single (although I have a few good female friends, but I would be embarrassed to ask for their help) I had some difficulty in purchasing them.
I traveled to another town to do it in fear of being seen.  Still being nervous, I purchased a few different kinds.  I have found some of them itchy and uncomfortable, which is probably what women who hate them have experienced.  But, on brand I actually thought was quite comfortable—Smooth Illusions Revitalizing Collection.  Best of all, they have helped with my cold legs.  I am sleeping a lot better.
However, they now have several runs in them.  Which a few is no problem, since I am not showing off my legs in public, but with so many, they no longer give the support I need.  Hopefully someday I will be married and can get the “hand me downs” from my wife after the first run.  For now though, I can no longer find them.  Can anyone suggest another kind or give me any suggestions?

No offense Dave, but why not socks and sweatpants when you are cold, instead of hose.  That’s what I wear in the winter!

Thanks for the comment Chickadee.  I have tried socks and sweats.  They did not work real well. It isn’t just a winter problem for me.  I have a slight circulatory problem, which is why I need the compression.

Allison & Kammi,
You go, girls! As a sixties child, I saw the dawn of the era of pantyhose. I hated them at first! If you’ve ever worn full fashion “real” nylons, you would understand! But, I’ve “gone to the dark side” now!!! Try Aristoc or Pretty Polly “tights” if you want real luxury!

Just so everyone knows, I’m not a crossdresser.
I just wore them once cause I luv them and I was horny.
I did that and u kno what, what a rush.
It worked out well for me, if ya kno what I mean.
I guess I loved it so much I wore them for a week.
I don’t kno what it is, but tan nylons do it for me.
Been that way all my life.
I luv seeing women wear tan nylons and heels.
