It’s time to get used to pleats again because they’re everywhere now. Some may refer to pleated trousers as mom pants, but they’re much cooler than that this summer and fall. The key is to make sure they’re proportioned and fit well. You’ll look squat if you wear a cropped, wide-leg pair, but if you do go the cropped route make sure the pants also taper. Similarly, high-waisted, wide-leg trousers will take focus away from the hip area and shift it on the smallest part of your body. Also remember that super-tight and pleats don’t mix, so choose a pair that graze the body, instead of ones that hug it.

DO NOT WANT. some of these things look like the cast of Oliver should be wearing them.
Ladies of the Frisky,I know you’re liberated women, but I don’t see why we have to get used to pleated pants just because they’re everywhere. Boycott pleated pants if you don’t like them.
and why are they putting out such questionable bottom half styles? bubble shorts, harem pants, pleated trousers???

Pleating reminds me of my gran. -shudders- I tried on a pair of pleated pants the other day and that is so not right for a big hipped gal like myself.
