I recently went with a female friend to see “SlumDog Do you want to be a Millioniare”. I thought it was a very good story but I hated the movie. I go to the movies to escape reality with some good fun. Instead I was bombarded with a broken love story and a whole lot of torture and too much flashback. And I will punch either Regis or the guy who played his Indian counterpart in the movie. I am sick of the pregnated pause associated with this game show.I’m more of a “Cash Cab ” fan anyway. If I want to see a guy getting the crap kicked out of him, I’ll rent “Payback” starring the lead lobbyist for the Jewish community Mel Gibson. At least I get to see some revenge scenes. Went I went and saw “Hostel” and at the end when the main bad guy goes to the restroom at the end. When he picks up his tossed card and gets his fingers hacked off. Then the door gets kicked in and it’s the main good guy dunking his head in the tiolet. The whole audience was cheering and clapping. Instead I’m treated with a trainrailway scene and then a huge dance number at the very end. My friend told me this is very popular in Indian movies and that is the only reason she wanted to see the film. So I sat through 2 hours of gameshow and torture so you could see some dance number like they were on “Fame”. I need a new friend to see movies with. I’m in Tampa any takers?
