Thread your ribbon through one of the thicker chains—in and out every few inches—leaving about three inches of excess coming out of either end.
Thread one end of all five chains onto your brooch, making sure the ribbon chain is close to the inside end.
Thread the other ends—preferably in different order for some twisting action—on as well. Your ribbon chain should be one of the first ones you thread on this time.
