I made valentines for my besties last year and gave them truffles. Normally I hate V-Day because I dont want to be worshipped on one specific day, but it was fun making the valentines and giving them out.

I think Valentine’s Day can be a reminder to do something nice for one’s significant other (trust me, some people need the help remembering), or for anyone, single or no, to have an excuse to gorge on chocolate. Yummm.

Yes, it does suck. It means I have to spend money or risk seeming like I don’t care. Then I have to figure out what to get him. What do you get for a guy who doesn’t like chocolate that is as inexpensive? I got him a can of nuts last year and he thought that was hilarious.

Anti-VD
1) I don’t like celebrating with the BF the same thing, the same way, the same time, and for the same reason as the rest of the world. There is nothing unique to it.
2) He gets no kudos for getting me something when every commercial and media outlet is telling him he has to.
3) We don’t even get off from school or work!
4) We just had Christmas, with plenty of food and chocolate to last until… St. Patrick’s day! A much better holiday in my opinion!
