Technically I am against the gladiator sandal trend. I think they look stupid on 90% of the population. But these high-heeled gladiators are something I can get behind because they’re not obnoxiously strappy, they give you some lift which counteracts the stumpy-leg affect of most strappy flats and they’re wedges, which means they are easy to walk in. Not obnoxiously trampy? Except for being brown, they’re indistinguishable from DOMINATRIX shoes! They look like they were designed by some misogynist who has a death wish for women.

As someone who wears awfully painful shoes about 50% of the week, these looks comfy to me. I could run a marathon in a wedge, I swear.

I can’t stand the gladiator shoes. The minimal style flat sandals are ok, but the high heeled/SATC shoes just don’t look sexy to me at all.
