Hugh Hefner’s daughter Christie, who has sat at the helm of the $300 million Playboy Enterprises empire for the last two decades, stepped down from her post yesterday. The self-described feminist has faced a myriad of challenges on the job in recent years, including falling subscription rates for the company’s flagship magazine, in part due to the increasingly widespread availability of adult content on the internet. Most recently, there was talk of selling her father’s Playboy Mansion residence to raise cash for the corporation’s nose-diving portfolio. Three years ago, Christie was named one of the world’s most powerful businesswomen. Now, inspired by the Obama campaign, she’s making noises that suggest a shift into politics. Yes, she lives in California.
...but aside from the fact she comes from the never never land state where fame is god, she is also a smart businesswoman, which bodes well to be in politics. she could be the west coast bloomberg.

I work in the Playboy bldg here in Chicago and asked an employee how this affects the office. she kind of rolled her eyes and said not at all.
I hope Christie ends up doing something she really likes.

Hmm, the younger generation is pretty open-minded so I’d say she has a shot with the 35 and under crowd in the next election.

she could probably win in cali or New York, but the GOP would eat her up in the heartland. They would probably eat her up on her dimal record as president of Playboy.
