Christian Joy Creates Kooky “Where the Wild Things Are” Costumes
Designer Christian Joy, who’s probably best-known for having designed some extremely outre outfits for Yeah Yeah Yeahs front woman Karen O, has created a set of costumes inspired by the soon-to-be-released feature film, “Where the Wild Things Are.” The five monster-and-Max suits come with horns, cock’s combs, and tails—exactly what every woman is sure to be wearing this fall. The monster garb is on view and for sale at Space 15 Twenty, and part of the proceeds will go to 826 Valencia, where kids go to write. Check out more after the jump! Oh man, I’m so excited for this movie!!! And they did a great job picking the right costume-designer.
Also, this would make a fantastic Halloween costume. Not having looked, I’m going to assume it’s outrageously expensive.
