Chris Brown Thinks Oprah Was Harsh On Him

Chris Brown hurt by Oprah

Boo hoo. Chris Brown is upset that, soon after the night when he pummeled Rihanna, Oprah did an episode of her show on domestic violence and dedicated it “to all the Rihannas of the world.” During the episode, Oprah said, “I’ve said before love doesn’t hurt, and if a man hits you once, he will hit you again.”

Chris thinks this was harsh. “I commend Oprah on being like, ‘This is a problem,’ but it was a slap in my face,” he told People. “I did a lot of stuff for her, like going to Africa and performing for her school. She could’ve been more helpful, like, ‘OK, I’m going to help both of these people out.’”

He thinks what Oprah said was a “slap in the face”? Interesting choice of words, Chris, because you actually physically slapped your girlfriend in the face, before biting and punching her. I actually think Oprah let you off kind of easy, using the incident as a stepping-off point for a dialogue with women. It wasn’t harsh. Um, did you see the episode where she tore James Frey a new one?

After Chris’ statement, Oprah responded. “Oprah is very appreciative that Chris Brown performed at her school, but she takes domestic abuse very seriously. She hopes he gets the counseling he needs.”

I say “amen” to that. [People via Chicago Sun Times]

Well Chris, a metaphorical ‘slap in the face’ still isn’t as bad as literally beating someone.

I’m glad that he thinks he also needs help, but not that he seems to think that people should be pitying him for the backlash.

“MOMMMMYYYYYYY Oprah’s mean! She said mean things about me after I beat the brakes off of my girlfriend and the whole world found out!”

Shut up, Chris Brown. You are making yourself look like an even bigger #&@$%, if that was possible. Tuck your little tail between your legs and go do your community service.

Silly Chris Brown.  Doesn’t he know that no one who takes on Oprah makes it out alive?

The “slap in the face” beats jailtime. Somehow, I think he missed that part. Ever the narcissist – proves he never really took responsibility for the gravity of the crime. Yes, a *crime* Chris.

And, *RiRi* is a slapper too.

Why are we still talking about Chris Brown? Let him wallow in the devastating (for a ‘star’ anyway) obscurity that his kind of behavior deserves.

I love that Oprah didn’t respond directly to his silly comments and just had her publicist release a statement that put her in the third person! Classic!

I agree that he needs to disappear into obscurity as opposed to somehow clawing out of the hole he put himself in by committing this horrid crime.

On the other hand, constantly reminding him/the world of his crime may help to keep him “unhireable,” which would please me greatly.

P.S. Oprah should actually slap him.
P.P.S. Rihanna should say something about her slap-happy actions as well. (Unless she already has and I’m just out of the loop.)

No, no, everyone…HE’S RIGHT! Oprah OWES him! Because, I mean, seriously, that school was, like, waaaay boring, and he did her a huge favor by flying over there and doing what he does in his free time. You know, performing. And now all the students work, like, waaaay harder! Yay, Chris Brown! Thanks for inspiring young people!

First off he’s a kid so he’s going to say stupid #&@$%, no excuse for being this stupid though.  He hit a woman, not even hit, beat the #&@$% out of and bit her neck, like a beast. He’s lucky someone didn’t kill him because he deserved to go to jail like what happens to those who are not rich and famous. Oprah was right on and thats why he is embarrassed, because the most powerful woman in the media verbally spanked him. And Oprah doesn’t play when it comes to things she seriously about like dinner or abuse.

I think that it’s funny that he thinks that his performances are enough of a trade that everyone should let him off for beating his girlfriend.  Like he is doing a favor to the world.  Disgusting.

It’s pretty typical of an abuser to have the mentality that good behavior buys off or cancels out bad behavior.  I had a verbally abusive ex who would, when I called him out, point out all the money he’d spent on me and call me ungrateful.  Abusers don’t understand nothing merits that sort of behavior, and so Chris Brown is acting pretty true to form by saying he should be given a break because he did all sorts of great things.

He is quite hurt and offended by our rude, doltish opinion him… *narcissist.* Take heart in the fact that he *will* end up in jail, begging for our forgiveness from a security camera in jail before his sentence is up!

I’m not condoning what he did, it was wrong. Way wrong. But nobody seems to be bothered by the reports that she also hit him when they go into fights, they were both violent and I’d believe that. Would people hate her if she did that to him? Or would it be self defense? She didn’t beat the #&@$% out of him to the extent that he did to her but either way they’re both in the wrong. He really does need to shut his mouth and be sorry for what he did, I’d listen to his list of good things if he shut up about this and stopped plastering his woe is me story all over the media. Sometimes people do make mistakes and they do something this bad and they can be forgiven but if he carrys on the way he’s going he’s never going to be forgiven and people won’t forget.
