Chris Brown Says He’ll Never Put His Hands On A Woman Again

Chris Brown sat down with Sway at MTV to discuss his assault of Rihanna on Feb. 8. He tries to portray himself as a changed man who is learning from his actions, even going as far as to say that he knows for certain he’ll never assault another woman and enjoys learning to control his anger in his domestic violence classes. But, I’m sorry to say, he never seems truly remorseful, except when discussing how this has negatively affected his career. He’s hardly humble, saying that his hecklers are just being “ignorant.” And he only pays lip service to the fact that healthy relationships aren’t violent. Towards the end, I got the feeling that Chris still has hopes he and Rihanna will get back together.

@lea322 - He might have wanted everything private, but taking advantage of, and spinning publicity is good business. Especially after taking such a hit to his image, it is apologize/repair time. Whether it is sincere or not.

Well Rihanna is dropping an album too and using this incident as a means of more publicity for her album. Which is just as disturbing as him using it as publicity, it’s tacky on both ends. I mean the same criticize for him as to her, that the only time during her interview that things seems “real” was when she talked about how this event helped her make her new album. And I would point out that she never said that there was not a chance that they could get back together, at the end she said, “I can’t predict what will happen in the future, only God knows” Or something similar to that, but she never said that she didn’t think they wouldn’t get back together either or that she was not in love with him anymore. The reasons she gave for leaving where that she thought it would encourage other women to stay and she didn’t want to lose her corporate sponsor ship, not cause she didn’t want to be with him anymore or felt like she was in danger, it’s a very sick situation and honestly listening to both of the interview, shows how sad and in need of help they both continue to be. I wish them BOTH the best, they both just need to step out of the spotlight and deal with MAJOR issues.

Oh please, learning to control his anger? That is a red flag right there. People don’t commit domestic violence because they are angry. That is just an excuse, like alcohol. “I hit her because I was angry.” “I hit her because I was drunk.” Yeah, right. Anger has nothing to do with it.
