Chinese Policewoman Breastfeeds Orphans

Another nice story has come out of the tragedy in China. One policewoman who was breast-feeding her own child took it upon herself to breast-feed several babies rescued after the earthquake. At one point, she was feeding nine babies—five of them orphans. “It is a mother’s reaction,” she said, “and a basic duty as a police officer to help.” [CNN]

Ok, I know she meant well, but this is really gross. I think I would be super grossed out if another woman breast fed my baby. I guess if the conditions were dire then I could understand it, but it’s still weird.
