I bet if you you looked at all the stars names you will find that the reason they managed to have it together is because their parents were very involved in the careers—in a good way. They didn’t use their children as a stepping-off point for their own lives.

Although the Olsens have it together now, there was a time when one or both of them were very skinny, maybe anorexic.
And what about Christina Aguilera? I know many people don’t like her. But she has her act together and she is married with a son. Plus, she has always managed to stay out of the tabloids.

@ writergirl - Oh, Brooke Shields’ mother gave it her best shot. They were estranged for a long time. But I agree with your main point, today’s parents of child stars are in it for themselves more than anything else (Lohans, Cyrus’ et al!).
