Celine Dion Pregnant With Embryo Frozen For Eight Years

Celine Dion is pregnant again at age 41—which while, not impossible, is pretty hard to do. This time she and hubby René Angelil—who’s approximately eleventy-years-old (or 67, to be exact)—used an embryo that was frozen eight years ago. Celine’s doctor confirmed her pregnancy after the in-vitro fertilization, and said that when he told her, “I could hear her chuckling.” [PopEater] — Chuckling! How creepy is that?
Though I think it’s great when people who have trouble conceiving find help in science, I just don’t think Celine Dion and her hubby should be bringing up kids well into their senior-citizen years ... simply because they give me the willies. Their first kid, Rene-Charles, was born in 2001 from the same batch of frozen embryos. And while it’s not uncommon for embryos to be frozen for upwards of 15 years, I consider it my destiny to find that freezer and unplug it. I don’t care how offended you are, you won’t stop me. I just think something fishy is going on here—maybe they’re building an elite Canuck attack team? Or creating their own Partridge family, at the pace of one baby every nine years?

Seriously when is Rene Charles going to get a haircut..after a certain age that is no longer cute. He looks like chillingly like MJ’s son Blanket !

I agree that their son needs a haircut but I love me some Celine Dion so congrats to them!

She’s 41, so she will be 59 when the kid is 18. While that is definitely older, it’s not exactly senior citizen either.

I dunno, I’m always concerned when I hear about moms in their 40s getting pregnant…the risk of Down’s gets higher as you get older (Mayo clinic says 1/400 at 35 y/o and 1/35 for a 45 y/o!) Just something to consider.

Why did she wait so long to implant the embryo? Was she waiting until Rene Charles hair was down to his waist before she had another kid?
Celine is the definition of craptastic. Seems genuine. Songs are pure cheese but she knows what her audience wants.

Since when is 41 old? What gives me “the willies” more than that, is the thought of freezing embryos to save for later, like chicken. And 8 years seems like sort of a long time, how long can you keep them?
