British gardener David Finkle has been a busy ‘lil bee: At a pumpkin-carving competition at his local bar last year, he discovered he had a new talent by carving ghosts. This year, he has turned to more famous subjects, like MJ here, Amy Winehouse and even Prez Obama, each of which take him about three hours to do. But his endeavors are fraught with hazards! He can’t sell them because they deteriorate too rapidly, and, according to him, ‘‘When you do a carving on a pumpkin after a few days they twist and contort. I don’t think the celebs would be very happy if they saw them like that.” Indeed David, indeed! Click through to see more spooky likenesses. [

Wow… he’s really good. It’s kind of neat that someone puts so much time and talent into things that deteriorate after a couple of days. Very zen.
