While I’m generally not a fan of facial hair, I can tolerate a trimmed goatee or stubble. Hell, I occasionally avoid shaving my legs in the winter, so I can see why guys would want a break from the razor too. But I find the Grizzly Adams look repulsive, especially when said man’s facial hair is pube-esque. I’m talking to you, Joaquin and Jonah Hill…

Eh, not a fan of facial hair at all. Stubble is fine…other than that, I don’t like it.
Totally depends on facial structure and grooming. I know guys who look totally HOT with the five o’clock shadow and others who need to leave that great jawline exposed.
@ majicksand: That is my stance on the issue as well.
I remember once when I was really little… my family was on a camping trip and my mom and I were coming back from the showers or something and we came around our VW van to find on the other side… my dad, in the last stages of shaving his beard off. I think I might have screamed a little. (I was only 4 or 5.) Some guys, you get used to ‘em with a beard and they just look weird without one… other guys, you get used to ‘em clean-shaven and they look weird when they let it grow. And sometimes it’s a relief when they shave or grow a beard—it just depends on the guy.
Agreed that it totally depends on the guy and the style. My husband looks plan silly without facial hair. It makes his face look too round. He almost doesn’t look like the same person. I think he’s completely shaved it off maybe 5 times in the 2.5 years we’ve been together just to “get it even” and “start over” but then its only for a few days. And if a guy knows how to approach the subject correctly, facial hair can be a benefit, rather than a drawback, when they go downtown.

I don’t know. I’m kinds diggin’ beards at the moment. Granted, some too like chin pubes, but some guys can rock a beard like it’s nobodys bidness.

Joaquin looks a lot like a homeless guy I saw on the walk to work today.

Some guys can actually pull off the facial hair look. Others just look ridiculous.

I love me some facial hair. Just not out-of-control facial hair like many of these guys.

Scott Ian’s beard is NASTY! What woman would want to go anywhere NEAR that thing? Just imagine what could be stuck inside! Yuck!

Joaquin might need to be medicated. The beard seems like the least of his problems.

Scott Ian-
Please shave off the facial pube. The fact that many women get Brazilians should really clue you in.

I shaved mine off for good after I showed my (bearded) photograph to my stepmom and she asked who my good-looking friend was.
