Candle Quick Is An Infomercial Product We Could Actually Use
Here’s an infomercial product that scores points with the green team, and is actually quite resourceful. The Candle Quick allows you to melt down your nearly used-up candles and recycle the wax into one new candle. If you’re the type who finds it frustrating when your favorite votive still has product in it, but is too burned down to get a match near it, the Candle Quick would probably save you money in the long run by hanging on to the extras. Of course, if you have a bunch of different candles on your hands, you might end up with a weird-smelling witches’ brew of Juniper-Vanilla-Sea Breeze-Apple-Crisp as your end product. Mmmm… [$24.98, TaylorGifts.com]

Of course, an old pot would also do the trick, and it costs less than $25.

@_jsw_: unless of course it has designed a way to get the wax out of the glass without having to squeeze your hand in there and actually dig it out… maybe that’s where the other $20 comes in???

@*sam*: I think it’s basically just a hot pot with a spout and some accessories. There’s more info at the official site. It’s not bad for $25, but I don’t think it does anything to help with getting wax out of the glass containers.

Meh - if it’s a paraffin candle it’s best to just let it go and invest in a nice soy candle instead. They release far fewer chemicals when burnt.

I used to do this so much, and I still occasionally do it. I just dump some candles in a pot on the stove, and then I make a new one with some string by dipping it in.
