Bras For Ladies With Fake Boobs
Let me guess: Now that you’ve had a boob job, your old bras don’t exactly fit? Hey, it’s not like the doctor said double FFs were going to be comfy to carry around, let alone easy to find a brazier for. Well, thanks to lingerie designer Le Mystère, women who have gone under the knife can now buy over-the-shoulder boulder holders that are comfortable and still stylish. While surgeons should probably just throw a sample in after the expensive surgery, these bras run from $76 to $84 smackeroos. I guess it’s double your cup, double the Victoria’s Secret price tag?
It could potentially be worth it, as Le Mystère’s No. 9 collection was designed by an actual plastic surgeon, along with Mentor, the company that provides medical products for plastic surgeries. They created No. 9 with the hopes of offering support for fake ta-tas. While their website description spins the bra in the classiest way possible, practically marketing them to those suffering after having medically necessary “breast enhancement procedures,” you totally know that those who willingly stuffed silicon into their chests are going to be the first ones in line for this lingerie. I don’t understand why fake breasts need their own special kind of bra… and don’t women with implants usually go bra-less anyway? Isn’t perkiness a part of the package deal?
Although I will vouch for Le Mystere’s bras in general. As the owner of a naturally large rack, I can’t buy bras at Victoria’s Secret, Target, or anywhere other than department stores, as they don’t carry my size. But unfortunately, most department store bras in my size seem to be designed specifically for senior citizens, women who are/have been pregnant at some point, or have simply given up all hope on sexiness. Le Mystere, however, has a lot of really cute bras that are also supportive and cover all the bases (side boob included). Too bad they’re like 70 bucks a pop!! Why must I be punished for my huge tittays?
Does anyone know of any other bras for girls with big boobs that don’t cost an arm and a leg?

I’m in a love/hate with LeMystere. Sometimes they’re awesome, and then they’re not, and then they are…
elenanewman, if you have one, try your local Dillard’s (if you aren’t already there for your LMs.). Last I knew, they had a house brand that ran in similar sizes, though their sizing runs small. They were around $30 when I tried them on.
Also, the clearance racks are nice. I got two LMs for 34 dollars. Mind you, I spent 255 on my next two bras, so I guess I’m still averaging about $65-70 a pop.
I’ve been told that Lane Bryant makes decent larger bras (and not LM pricey, $42 for a fancy convertibra last I checked), but if you’re wearing a 36, you may well get laughed out of the store. I don’t think they carry anything in a 36 higher than a DD/DDD, and even then most stores don’t carry a 36, because “it doesn’t sell”. I also hear that they’re going to discontinue their F/G/H cups in the stores.

elenanewman—I buy my bras online from UK store Bravissimo. It’s AMAZING. They ship overseas and cost about the same as Victoria’s Secret bras after the currency conversion. My favorite brand they offer is Panache. Very comfy and lots of choices! Their bathing suits are great also.

Like the girls above, I was in a love/hate with Le Mystere. Especially after Oprah endorsed them, because damn her if the prices didn’t go right up after that!
But! I did find by accident that TJ Maxx of all places sometimes stocks Le Mystere’s T-shirt style bras for like 10-15 a pop!! I’ve found like 7-8 of them in nude, brown and black before! So it’s not even like they only stock the unwanted “failed” colors. Yay

@ikimashokie Actually Lane Bryant does have an awesome (and sexy pretty) collection of bras and they do go down to a 36. Some stores may not carry very many of them but Lane Bryant also has a sister store that’s just their lingerie called Cacique. I typically order online just because I can for sure get my size. Good salepeople won’t give you a hard time.
