Book Club: The First Half Of Twilight
Welcome to the Twilight book club! WARNING: Do not read the following post if you would not like to know what happens in the first half of the book.
We’ll be discussing the events through chapter 12, when Edward takes Bella into the forest. Out of respect for other readers DO NOT GIVE AWAY ANYTHING THAT HAPPENS AFTER THAT, even if you’ve already read the entire novel.
Amelia, Annika, Emily, and I got the discussion going this morning over IM, but we want you to keep it going in the comments. I think we’ve all come to one conclusion: This book totally turns us on, even though there isn’t any sex.

okay so since my aim was all busted up during this convo…here are my thoughts. It is a compelling read, I literally read over 200 pages last night. I also love True Blood and find myself noticing some similarities such as the mind reading and the “glamorizing.” Bella’s narrative makes you really understand her point of view and feel like you’re the shy little girl in high school again. For instance, the way it feels like to sit next to a crush in class and totally despise and be an idiot in Gym. (I personally got those two very well!) But this book creates such a lust factor, it makes me want my own vampire love a little bit. Especially if he looks like Robert Pattinson or Bill from True Blood.

I totally understand how you can go from being a nobody at one school to being popular with boys when you move. Do you think every girl identities with Bella? Because I certainly do.

What do you think would happen if Bella and Edward kiss? Like, will he just want to suck her blood even more? Sucking, ha, that’s kind of sexual.
