Men like women with a little junk in their trunk. But can women say the same thing about a man’s rear end? Men have always been so concerned with toning their arms, pecs or abs, that their booty gets neglected and goes unnoticed. But all of that is changing! According to The New York Times men are becoming more aware of how attractive it is to flaunt a nice backside and are spending more time working out their gluteus maximus. They are also investing more effort into finding clothes that accentuate their butt. Retailers are catching on to the trend as well and are designing trousers that aren’t too tight (the Frisky jury is still out on dudes in skinny jeans), too baggy (because this trend should have been out of style a long time ago), but just right. The cut of a pair of pants can flatter man’s derriere or make it look flat like a pancake. Personally, I’ve always liked a man with a little bit of an ass. It takes some of the attention away from how big mine is. Plus a non-existent ass on anyone is just not sexy. More cushion for the pushin’ fellas. [NY Times]

I had guy friend in college with a great ass. Coming back to the dorms after parties he was always the best one to get a piggy-back ride from when you were drunk and your feet hurt because is ass was like a saddle.

I agree with Lynn about a nice ass in boxer shorts. I once dated a guy whose ass was so tight, you could shove a lump of coal in there and he’d crap out a diamond…talk about bouncing a quarter off that thing! To see him in boxer briefs caused instant droolage…

My girlfriends and I used to rate guys on their butts as they walked by….It was always important.

This post reminds me of a funny story: when I was in high school my brother was about 8. I was reading on the couch and he comes running in and jumped on me, landing butt first. It hurt! I yelled at him that his butt was too bony, and he said, “I found my secret weapon! My butt!”
Now he’s 17 and eventually the ladies are going to realize what he’s got back there.

(By the way, if you work out seriously, it’s difficult to find jeans that *aren’t* skinny. Almost every pair of jeans I try on is either too tight around the legs or too baggy around the waist.)

I think a good butt has always been important, but I don’t think a majority of men really relaize it.
How often have you seen a guy be concerned about how his butt looks in a new pair of jeans? which such and such an outfit?

Yeah the only worse than a flat ass is a flabby ass! I like round asses on men and women. I can’t tell you how often I see a guy at the gym with nice upper body and chicken legs but there are even more nice bodies and flat asses. Eeewwwww! ICK!
