An Open Letter To Seth Rogen
Hey dude!
Love your glasses! But seriously, you need to gain some weight back. I’m all for gettin’ heart healthy, cutting back on the trans-fats and the beer intake, but you’ve taken it too far. How do I know? Because with all the poundage, you’ve lost your ability to be funny. Your “Saturday Night Live” hosting gig this weekend was terrible and we can only blame the writers so much. Your delivery was awful! I mean, who’s ever heard of a funny guy who isn’t funny? I’m not sure why you lost your giggle-inducing talent along with the weight, but if you want to save your career, you’ll start chowing down on the McGangBangs FAST. Also, be careful with the roles you choose. Your cameo in “Superbad” was genius—your starring role in the upcoming “Observe and Report” is cause for concern. Not everyone’s terrible choices go the way of Jimmy Fallon, who somehow managed to score a late-night hosting gig despite “Taxi” and “Fever Pitch.” Oh and seriously, even if you hadn’t sucked on “SNL” this weekend, I still would be suggesting you trim back on the trimming back—you were cuter with a lil’ meat on your bones.
Love,
Amelia
P.S. A clip of your “SNL” monologue is after the jump, for those who were lucky enough to miss it the first time.

I actually think he looks better now. It was a shock to see him skinny for the first couple times, but this weekend I watched “Zack and Miri make a porno” and was struck by how much better he looks now.
Also, I have to say that SNL is NEVER EVER funny anymore. Sarah Palin skits aside, I haven’t giggled at anything on that show in at least several years. I can’t blame him. Nothing about that show is amusing.

I agree with Lynn—SNL was never funny to me with or without Seth Rogen.
That aside, I seriously loved Seth Rogen with more meat…gain it back! <3

I think he looks great actually. And yeah, SNL is usually pretty sub-par nowadays anyway. I’m trying not to give up hope on Seth Rogen just yet, but Observe and Report really may be a dealbreaker. and did anyone else think that Zack and Miri was pretty bad? I just had it in my head the whole time how creepy it was that this character was trying to screw his best friend the whole time…

He had to slim down for the role of the Green Hornet.

I like him either way actually…he’s adorable with meat, but actually pretty damn cute like this. Like lalaland said, I’d still do him…in a heart beat. and SNL hasn’t been funny to me in YEARS.

@PinkRanger - I hated the movie. About 20 minutes into it, BF and I paused it to let the dog out. So during that “intermission” we talked about how we liked it a lot so far. But it just went downhill from there.
I feel like they tried to put too much romance into a comedy and it became neither funny nor romantic. I totally couldn’t buy their romance. And there was too much time spent on this crappy romance that all the funny was just sucked out. I’m so glad we didn’t see this in the theater.

I’ve always thought it was his unique voice and humble guileless charms that res’d with me, but now that I can see his dimples better, I think he looks great.

If he’s less funny now that he’s thin, it’s probably because he can’t think straight from glucose starvation.

I think we’re just a bunch of big ol’ whinners. If he’s fat, people will say, He’s so funny, but if only he lost a good 10 pounds he’d be cute. NOw that he’s cute, he’s not funny. That’s not fair. Leave Seth Rogen alone! NO one says anything about Matt Damon when he gains 50 lbs for a movie, then looses them for the Bourne Ultimatum or whatnot. This is why people have weight issues, Your too fat, no wait, now your too skinny.
I actually liked Zak and Miri make a porno. I thought it was hilarious, my favorite was Justin Longs character Bobby, oh man that cracked me up for days..

I read an interview with him recently where he said that he hates being this skinny cause he can’t eat anything. He only did it for a movie role, and he plans on gaining it all back as soon as he can. Now, if only female stars said stuff like that!
