Listen the really creepy thing about this is how stretched out his neck looks.  Like a worn out stretch Armstrong that no longewr “snaps back” into place.  That said, yeha he has a nice body but its his job to have one aside from that he really IS NOT attractive even a little bit.  Reminds me of the pig men from the Swamp Thing movies.  He stars in pre-teen soft core porn movies of zero substance and is hardly the next Heath.

@equnsuocha: This isn’t a calendar. If these were promotionals or still photos from a movie role that Miley Cyrus was acting in (like these of Taylor), and not a calendar of photos just for the purpose of being ‘scantily clad’, I don’t see how anyone would have a problem with it.

I’m sure this site would be all aflutter about how an underage girl was being shown in sexy attire and how horrible that was and demeaning to women and so on. Meanwhile, it’s cool to show him shirtless. I’ve got no problem with him being shown that way, but let’s keep it in mind the next time some 17-year-old girl is shown in a similarly provocative way.

Although… currently, there’s a big “Partner” link on the front page now to shots of Angelina Jolie when she was 16, and they’re as… revealing as his, so I take it back.

I don’t care if he’s 18, he’s hot. Would it make it less immoral if I said he was handsome? He’s the one allowing people to take shirtless photos of himself. But it doesn’t mean us “creepy” older women are going to go and try to do sexual things with him.

I get the whole Miley Cyrus example. But people(society?) need to stop freaking out whenever a teenager does something sexual. They’re probably the horniest age group out there.

@spatula calendar, movie stills what have you.  I honestly could care less about this issue, the age of consent in most states is 16 anyway.  I was simply pointing out to my sisters that we can be purveyors of the cdouble standards ourselves when it comes to teenage girls and their sexuality. /wink

@jsw The Angie thing doesnt really count because she is an adult now and those pics are 15 years old.  If it were **insert tween female star under 18 here** posing for pics or appearing in a movie this way the outrage would be incredible.

Miley in a sheet fully covered except for her back, shot by a world famous photog, in an artful manner with the approval of her parents ( alright based on the sisters halloween get up they aren’t parents of the year but still)  causing such a ruckus was amazing to me.

A part of the reason why it would be seen as an outrage if this were a underage girl posing provocatively is because girls and boys’ sexuality is treated very differently in our society. Girls are expected to hold on to purity and innocence more so than boys are—it’s as if no cares about that.

Acutally, I never got Robert Pattinson. I think they could’ve cast a one-eyed weirdo in that role and teen girls would’ve still gone nuts for him. Robert Pattinson has an ugly face and looks like he is seriously lacking in personal hygiene. Taylor’s always been the cute one in the Twilight movies. It’s just, now he’s muscular too. Some might see that as a plus. I don’t particularly.

In the first twilight I found both Edward and Jacob so cute.After finding out that Taylor is my age and is from Michigan I redirected all my attention to him. With the previews of New Moon I can only fall more in love with Twilight and Taylor Daniel Lautner!
