Sorry, Grandma. Sunday night, I will be leaving your place early on Yom Kippur to rush home and watch David Duchovny slut it up. “Californication“‘s third season premieres at 10 p.m. (EST) and I will be locked, loaded (on Manischewitz, natch), and glued to the boob tube. Here are five reasons why you shouldn’t miss it either.
1. When Showtime says “Coming September 27,” they mean it, literally. They should call the show “David Duchovny Does Soft Core” because he’s always naked, sexing up some chick. Hey producers, if you’re reading this, I’d love to audition!
2. Now that “Hank Moody” is going to be a professor, there will also be class loads of sexy college co-eds to eye. Bonus!
3. The show is a constant influx of inspirational, aggressive female characters to model our own slutdom off of.
4. “Hank Moody” has got a rad teen daughter who’s like Daria 2.0.
5. Eva Amurri, Kathleen Turner, and, drum roll please ... Chuck Bass, er, Ed Westwick, are confirmed guest stars. That’s two times the hairy-chested hawtness!

I’m really pissed, cause I’d watch Showtime on Demand at my mom’s house since we live relatively close. She just cancelled all the premium channels. Burn. :(
But I’ve loved the show from day 1. Marcy and Mia are my favorites, after Hank of course.

I am looking forward to this season and hopefully the show will make a comeback from last season, cause I thought it was a bit dry last season, well I wasn’t really into the Lou or whatever his name was character, the rock star, I’m glad that story ended, or maybe because Season 1 was so awesome it was hard to beat.

David Duchovny was one of my first celeb crushes, because I was/still am a HUGE X-Files fan (although I choose to pretend the second movie ever happened, as do most fans of the show.) What a hottie.

Pssst…i’m gonna let you in on a little secret. “Grandma” is not at all put out that you’re leaving early. In fact, she’s waiting for everyone get out of her house. Why? Because, she, too, is also watching Californication for the ONE sexy reason to shell out $ for Showtime: RICK SPRINGFIELD, honey!
