30-Day Breakup Guide: Day 8
Buy A Dress
It doesn’t matter if you’ve lost a few pounds in saltwater from crying this week or gained five thanks to your newfound Caramel Frappuccino habit. You’re hauling it to the nearest H&M or Express—or subscribing to a great clothing website like Shop It To Me—and buying the brightest frock you can find. Your new “look at me!” outfit is a not-so-subtle reminder to you and everyone walking down the street that you’re a chick that any dude would be lucky to lay his eyes on, let alone kiss.
Did you just go through a horrible breakup? Is your heart in a million little pieces? Whether you got dumped or did the dumping, splitting up with someone sucks. But have no fear, The Frisky’s 30-Day Breakup Guide is here! Once you’ve a good cry over the loss of your relationship, spend the next month working on yourself. We’ll be posting detailed instructions for the next 30 days to help you get over he-who-shall-not-be-named. There’s even a handy-dandy calendar to help you keep track of your progress. Now get to work!

This was absolutely one of my steps in getting over my breakup, only I bought, like, 10 dresses, not one. And I LOVE them all.

heh, as a teenager I always got something pierced after a breakup. I suppose buying a new dress is the I’ve-got-a-job-now-and-don’t-care-if-anyone-thinks-I’m-edgy alternative!

I hope ‘start an excercise routine’ makes the list one of these days. It’s a good distraction when you want to call him. And results also really help remind you of all the reasons why you’re hot and awesome.
