This morning we showed you the
new 50 Cent ad where he’s so airbrushed his shirt doesn’t even have wrinkles. Touched-up beyond recognition, he looks more like a robot than a rapper. But,
50, hip-hop is supposed to keep it real! And we shorties go crazy for silver-tongued MCs who have bodies even harder than their rhymes.

oh seriously this article almost encourgaes me not to frequent this site anymore. Like I want to look at a bunch shirtless pigs who do nothing but degrade women and other groups with their “music”.

Rap is so degrading to women, I rather listen to Motley Crue’s - “Girls, Girls, Girls” or The Prodigy’s - “Smack My B up.”
For the simple fact that all other genre of music uplift women and have never degraded them in anyway fashion or form.
So lets go to the strip club and watch women empower themselves as they listen to Motley Crue and slide down the pole ....

Um if they can objectify women, I am all for objectifying them on this sight. They definitely look hot without their shirts, but damn can you guys please keep on your pants. Hanging a little low is one thing but I can’t stand the full ass out look.
And is Nick Cannon really considered a bad boy rapper?

Usher’s not really a rapper, I think he might have been confused with Ludacris, cause you used Luda’s lyrics under his picture!
@Pinky & Impoddity: Seriously, chill out and enjoy (some) hot shirtless guys. And don’t generalize all hip-hop as degrading to women, it’s not. That’s just a generic argument, so back to the drawing board for both of you on that piece.

The condescension soaking your comments makes me gag. Putting music in quotation marks doesn’t make you seem cultured; it makes you seem close-minded and lacking in any sort of verbal dexterity. I doubt the vast majority of people who slam rap music have ever tried to write so much as a hook, and if they have, I doubt they’ve been successful.
I fully agree that degradation is an issue in popular culture, a subset of which is rap. However, your comment reeks of ignorance of the actual lyrical content. Lumping Eminem (against whom there is a very legitimate argument) with Nick Cannon (who I’ve never heard degrade women) and Usher (who isn’t even a rapper) shows that you’re probably better off confining your faux-moralistic whining to subjects you have some knowledge of.
Yeah, that was probably the most d*ckish way of putting that, but it’s a sore subject.

I’ve been reading this site for months and haven’t gotten around to creating a username yet, but the comments here compelled me to.
I’m really tired of hearing everyone who doesn’t like rap or hip-hop using the excuse that it “degrades women”. Really, I don’t mind if you don’t like it because everyone is entitled to their opinion. The issue I have is that not all rappers are womanizers, and you just sound ignorant when you say otherwise. Many are, but there are some who just like sex. Obviously most everyone on this site does too.
On top of that, I’m sure anyone could name dozens of musicians from other genres that really ARE womanizers. It’s not just rap.
But in the end, this is just an eye-candy article. You can enjoy it, or if you don’t just read something else.

Yeah Mucho, I knew Nelly was kind of ripped, but I had no idea he was so huge.
Kanye kind of surprised me too. How am I not up on what rappers look like shirtless? Has my subscription to Tiger Beat been for naught?

Some of these guys have great bodies, but I gotta say I can’t wait for the “pants hanging off your ass” fad to go out of style. Really guys? It’s just not attractive.

Kanye surprised me as well. We never see him showing off his bod.
Sure, rap and hip hop are degrading to women…the #&@$% rap and hip hop, that is.
I just listened to Eminem’s new album, which has plenty of raping, beating, and hacking up women. I just don’t take it seriously. I don’t think he does, either. I mean, he also raps about getting raped in the ass by his stepfather.

Not all rappers make degrading music. Examples of this mainstream: Common, Talib Kweli, Lupe Fiasco, hell, even LL Cool J. You don’t hear them rapping about “#&@$% this bitch…” but instead more lyrical notes to romance, classy sexual innuendo, and the latter.
So to overgeneralize a category of music based on a few artists that suburban kids have liked enough to be mainstreamed, is ignorant and blatantly shows your lack of knowledge of the genre as a whole.
I mean after all, if that was the case, we’d have to overgeneralize pop music and say that all the female singers are ditzy sluts that sing about sex to teenagers…now is that fair?

First of all, dear The Frisky, the fact someone is black and makes music does not automatically make him a rapper. I mean, Usher? Really? Second, though, thank you for the delicious gallery
How about bad boy boxers next? There must be pictures of David Haye around I haven’t seen yet

OMG- I need a cold shower. Nelly, LL and Usher has my vote. I am with some of the above posters; why should I spend my hard earned dollars on music that degrades me and my sisters? I buy a lot of music but I want to listen to uplifting music that puts me in a good or romantic mood. If I want to be called a Ho or other ugly names I will call up my ex and listen for free. It isn’t important what they look like is the voice and lyrics that make me go out and buy. If I want to look at good looking dudes I will rent a movie. My husband threw away my Playgirl Magazines.
