Cher's "Woman's World"!

Cher performed her new single, “Woman’s World” on the season four finale of NBC’s “The Voice” last night. She basically rocked it, but not without being super weird as only Cher can be.

There were two main things that surprised me about Cher’s performance. The first was her hair choice. This was the ultimate source of weirdness as far as I’m concerned. There must have been at least three wigs involved in the making of this hairpiece. It is so many things at once. It is both a bright pink fauxhawk and a sleek black hairstyle. I can’t really say that I have anything to compare it to. Cher described her look as “luxe punk” which sounds so cool that I can’t even be that mad about her hair. Keep reading »

21 Of The Weirdest Moments In Miley Cyrus’ “We Can’t Stop” Music Video

I’m not going to lie — I have watched the new music video for Miley Cyrus’ incredibly catchy single “We Can’t Stop,” like, four times now and I’m still discovering new fuckery. The premise is this: uh, Miley is having a party and she’s invited a lot of her friends and they are probably doing drugs and it appears some trippy stuff goes on. Or maybe they only think trippy stuff is going on because they’re high. Oh maybe this is just how Miley and crew roll … like with taxidermy on a leash and bread orgies. Looks like fun to me. Check out the video after the jump and then click through to review all the weirdnesses… Keep reading »

Listen To Miley Cyrus’s Killer New Song “We Can’t Stop”

Can't Stop Won't Stop
Can't Stop Won't Stop
Turn Up!

Miley Cyrus is back, and her new single, “We Can’t Stop,” is the last stop in her transition from Disney star to Rap Game Hannah Montana. Let’s be real — we saw the signs.  Twerking in a unicorn onesie. Partnering with Snoop Lion on “Ashtrays and Heartbreaks.” Posing near nude and looking like a hotter Susan Powter on the cover of V magazine. Now, the transition is complete with this new lowkey party anthem produced by Mike Will Made It. Moving away a bit from his trademark dark, woozy, strip-club-in-hell sound, Mike WiLL drops a considerably lighter beat for Miley to warble charmingly about dancing all night, and just having a good time. Summer — I’m ready. You should be too. Check it out.

Kelly Rowland Breaks Down On Stage While Singing “Dirty Laundry”

Kelly Rowland — one-third of Destiny’s Child and Beyonce’s BFF — recently came out with her solo single “Dirty Laundry,” which is about the intense competitiveness that comes with being famous. In her case, that meant competing with Beyonce her whole life, both when they were in a group together and after Bey went solo. The song also delves into Rowland’s experience with a destructive and abusive relationship. “Dirty Laundry” is gorgeous and heartbreaking — so much so that Rowland herself broke down on stage while singing it at her concert in Washington, D.C. this weekend. Celine Dion Dancing
Celine's up all night to get lucky!

God, I love the internet. Some brilliant person out in the world took footage of Celine Dion rocking out at one of her French concerts and swapped out the audio for Daft Punk’s new hit single, “Get Lucky.” You will not believe how perfectly they match up. Also, if you’ve never seen Celine dance, well, prepare to be amazed. [YouTube via Gawker]

Got An Earworm?

Earworms. That’s what super catchy songs are sometimes referred to, because they burrow deep in your psyche and don’t let go. They become the soundtrack to whatever you’re doing — eating, shopping, working — and basically take over any spare brain space. Daft Punk’s new single “Get Lucky” is one of those earwormy tracks — an endlessly repeating riff featuring vocals from uber-charming Pharrell. The full length album, Random Access Memories, won’t be out in the states until May 21, but writer Alex Bailey deftly explains just what makes “Get Lucky” so compelling. Keep reading »
