I’ve always been a little meh on Nicki Minaj, but today the rapper dropped a ballad that is knocking my socks off. “Pills N Potion” is an uplifting, but not-even-remotely cheesy love song directed at her haters and will be featured on Nicki’s upcoming album The Pink Print. “Swearin’ on the Bible that they love you but they’re no different from all your rivals / but I don’t wish death on ‘em, I just reflect on ‘em,” Minaj raps on the pared-down track, giving fans a taste of what they can expect from her next effort. I LOVE it. Listen below! [Rolling Stone]
Seems like Lana Del Rey has traded her signature hair-sprayed bouffant for a headful of relaxed beach waves in the video for “West Coast,” the first single off Ultraviolence, her much-anticipated sophomore album.
The primarily black-and-white clip features Lana frolicking on the beach with a couple of gutter punks intercut with footage of the pop singer lounging with a MUCH older man in the back seat of a convertible. I actually think it’s really beautiful and cool-looking, especially the moments where it looks like flower petals or feathers are exploding from her eyes. Neato. Watch above!

Here’s a handy list of awesome things to do this weekend!

Having just released the video for her latest song, “Sheezus” — which just happens to be the title track off her third album, out May 5 — Lily Allen’s eyeing the diva crown and no one, not Rihanna, Katy Perry, Lady Gaga or Lorde, better get in this bitch’s way. (Her words, not ours.)
In fact, if you take a listen to the track’s lyrics, you’d think the “Smile” singer was inviting half the female artists on the Billboards Top 100 to fight her in a Battle Royale, especially when the chorus goes a little something like this: Keep reading »
