Hollywood is hellbent on portraying witches as evil. At least, that's what you might think if you're an avid reader of Witchcraft In Disney, a web site devoted to critiquing the Mouse House's portrayal of witches. It's unclear whether the site is run by an actual Wiccan or just a religious studies student. But in any case, she is displeased by the overwhelmingly negative portrayals of Maleficent in "Sleeping Beauty," the three witch sisters in "Hocus Pocus," and witches in "The Black Cauldron." Maleficent was pretty evil. Maybe the witches who are angry with "True Blood" should keep things in perspective — it could be a lot worse!
