Joanne: I loved Judy Blume books! Thank God for the book Deenie, which taught me that masturbation was OK and normal -- 'cause I didn't think it was until then. I'm not sure at what age I read them, but I loved the Ramona books for being slightly irreverent, honest about family dysfunction and for Ramona's attitude problems.
