It seems that Marc Jacobs is one of the firsts in the fashion industry to do something about the problem of too-young (and thus unattainably thin) models on the runway. As head designer of Louis Vuitton, which presented its fall/winter 2010 collection yesterday in Paris, Jacobs says he wanted to create a more mature image. He tells the Guardian: "Designers are always talking about how they design for women, and then you look at our runways and there are no girls over 20 ... This time, I set out to cast a variety of sexy women – younger, older, thin, voluptuous, from every ethnic background." Kudos to him for also casting Elle Macpherson, who at 46 years old had to be the oldest woman on a Paris catwalk (but no less gorgeous). Tell us what you think of the designs and model casting for the Louis Vuitton collection, and check out runway pics after the jump! [Guardian]Related to: h1016826
