Pleather

As we begin to see more equality with women in rock music, with the riot grrrl movement of the '90s and the many girl bands and songstresses beginning to reign, we see the male groupie for the first time. Pleather is the most famous male groupie out there, and was interviewed by Des Barres for one of her books. He’s famously spent time with Courtney Love, who he recounts to Des Barres actually has shaky self-esteem.
